Notebook bases
Notebook base options for these notebooks, and others like them, offer many of the capabilities of a desktop, making a notebook a good replacement option. Forgoing the need of a separate monitor and keyboard and raising the notebook to eye level are just two pluses.
For instance, HPıs Expansion Base, allows connection to a printer and eliminates the need for an external monitor. The notebook installs into the base with one connection, can link to a broadband connection, up to 6 USB devices and charges and powers the notebook. Audio speakers are incorporated into the base design which is also bundled with a wireless keyboard and mouse.
Other notebook providers include Toshiba, Compaq (HP), Gateway and IBM.
